Description
- Enter math mode and select Insert>Special_Character>Linebreak a couple of times -> the minibuffer is not cleared in between ("visual buffer overflow":-))

This happens without math mode. Why isn't each action clearing
the current minibuffer contents ? AFAICT the dispatch_buffer
gets cleared ?

This is a problem with the code which displays the function call. I think this
is only useful for developpers, and therefore propose to add a pref (off by
default) to contorl that. This pref could replace the 'display shortcuts'
pref, which is useless IMO.
