Using a side-pane instead of a dialog for the spell checker

It is often a pain to move the spell check dialog around while looking for the
highlighted word to put it in context, I think moving the spell checker to a
side-pane (many modern text editors use this kind of interface) would alleviate
this.

I fully agree that the spell checker should be a sidebar; this would fix bug
3729 and #2529.
We just have not enough manpower.

A patch was in the work (3998) but did not make it into 1.6, but there is some
movement at the moment and development moved to a special branch:
