Description
Hello.
units.sty offers a beutiful way to print units in texts.
It would be nice if this could be integrated Lyx via the insert menu. Maybe in a
manner like we insert URLs today.

I didn't know SIunits.sty. Had a quick look at it and it seems to offer better
options. On the other hand it seems to be difficultier to implement.

Having looked at the 2 styles it seems that units can also control the space
between the value and the unit.
But untis will habe problems to write something like g/ccm in normal text.

Since LyX 1.6 we support this, see section 3.2 and Appendix A of the math manual.

I'm not sure. I think siunitx support is still desirable.

LyX 1.6.0 is released.
valid enhancement request (though I think SIunits.sty is to be preferred).
