screen font magnification does not work

Changing

tools/settings/screen fonts/magnification %

does not have the desired effect. It only magnifies

• the line spacing
• the inter-word spacing.

After stopping and restarting LyX, the fonts are magnified, but all the math
formulas and diagrams are invisible

(I am using LyX 1.5.2 under Windows Vista with instant preview set to "on".)

I don't understand, in LyX 1.5.2 you can change the scren fonts under

Tools -> Preferences -> Look & Feel -> Screen Fonts

This does not change the inter-word spacing and line spacing. The screen-fonts
are magnified immediately, so no need to restart LyX. Only for the
InstantPreview math characters you have to restart LyX to see the different size.

what shall I say - on my computer it does change the spacing but not the fonts.
Since don't know how to do it in bugzilla, I am sending to you off-list a
series of screen shots of LyX 1.5.2, taken under Windows XP ...

Clearly, the menu commands were translated from German into English. I
translated "Einstellungen" to "Settings" - in reality it might be indeed be
"Preferences". But the commands are obviously the same that you suggest.

Very strange, I can't see this on my test computers running XP, Win200, XP x64.

Can anybody else confirm this?

Have you installed LyX on XP with my installer or the official one? Is what you see the same on
WinXP and Win Vista?

OK, I can now comfimr everything your see on WinXP. I need to change the magnification from 120% to
140% and higher. (Until now I inreased the maginification not high enough.)

Ah, yes this was the reason why I couldn't reproduce this the first time: It
only occurs here with LyX 1.5.2, but not with todays 1.5.3svn.
