Hi,
this is a forward from the Debian BTS

The problem is reproduceable, I tried it with an upgrade from 1.4.5.1 to 1.5.2.

No problem I think that's ok. The reporter expected this decision aswell.
IMHO that should have been listed in the release notes. Maybe this should be
noted in the Wiki for the 1.5.0 release or something like this? Or maybe I'm
just blind and the problem is documented somewhere?

We have switched to a different mean of storing this list and did
not try to write code for the transition.
I am afraid this is not something that will change now. Clearly a matter of
manpower.
I close the bug, but feel free to reopen it if you disagree.
