Description
It's awkward English, and reflects the LaTeX heritage.
Should be "Insert Table", and all references to Tabular
Material should be changed to match.

After discussion, the only argument in favour was from Lars, and nobody
agreed with him I think.

Lars, are you still deadset against using "Table" as appropriate ?

Here is a patch. Lars, please given the reasons you don't want this
patch to go in. Here is my summary :
Pros of "tabular"
LaTeX users will probably be familiar with it
Cons of "tabular"
It does not form English sentences.
It is not consistent with how you read LaTeX e.g.
"\begin{tabular}" would be read as "begin a tabular environment"
It is used inconsistently within LyX. (Insert->Float->Table)
It gives the impression that a "tabular" is something different
from a "table", which it really isn't.
Angus points out that "tabular material" could easily mean the
stuff you put /into/ a table. In fact I would say that's the
natural interpretation.
It makes long menu entries such as "Tabular Material"
Lars, what are your reasons for keeping it ? I'll accept a ukase
on this, but I would at least like some kind of rationale.
You state "we have to take LaTeX terminology into account". Can you
elaborate ? I think LaTeXheads will be perfectly comfortable with
understanding what LyX's notion of a "table" actually is when exported
to LaTeX.

FWIW, I agree with what John is proposing.
BTW, John, why do we have both LFUN_DIALOG_TABULAR_INSERT
and LFUN_INSET_TABULAR? What is the difference?
Also, shouldn't we also rename the lfuns (at least their
printed name) to something like dialog-table-insert,
table-feature and table-insert?

I think this should be discussed on the lyx-docs list. Mike (was it
him?) had arguments in favor. I have never liked it myself,
but I am not a native english speaker...
