QDocument packages item bad UI

User does not care about "packages". For example I thought
we were missing the encoding menu altogether ! All of these
should be in different places and packages should be nuked
completely.

I'm on it. But I don't know where to put "use AMS" and "PS driver" other than an
ugly "extras" section. Suggestions?

Hmm. Not really. Put postscript drivers in "Output driver" pane, dunno.

While you're here: can you change the layout so the selector on the left
does not extend to the bottom of the class defaults buttons, but only to
the bottom of the right hand pane ? currently it looks like the class buttons
are part of the pane, and they are not.
