Changing the viewer makes creating DVI files impossible

Description

Strange bug in the format configuration:
Using lyx-qt-1.3.0pre3(cvs)

In the preferences, I changed the viewer for DVI from xdvi to kdvi. Then I clicked
Change, followed by Save. After this, the DVI file generation using ALT+D failed with
the message:
"No information how to export to DVI."

Upon trying to apply the change again, lyx crashes (seperate bug report, including bt).

Looks like something was screwed in my dialog update. Though I'm sure it was
working.
